DORS 200 NEW!
Adapted for 50$ banknotes
In 2004 a 50$ note will follow the issuance of the new 20$ note. The redesigned currency is safer, smarter and more secure.

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing provided our Company with opportunity to test the DORS equipment with the newly designed 2004 Series 50$ Federal Reserve Note. DORS equipment was successfully upgraded according to the new design and security features of the new 2004 Series 50$ note.

DORS adapted for 20$ NexGen banknotes
In June and August 2003, the Systema Company participated in the Test Note Program for the new $20 currency note developed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The new note has enhanced security features and subtle background colors.

Tests made by our specialists were successfully carried out and showed that the DORS 200 US Dollar detector is capable of detecting the new $20 banknotes as good as of detecting the US Dollar banknotes of earlier issues.

The new software for the DORS200, that will allow the detector to check the authenticity of the new 20$ note, will be serially installed in the DORS200 from September 01, 2003. All users of the DORS200, that were produced before September 2003 can install the new software version by contacting our service department ( service@dors.biz).

U.S. Unveils New $20 Note
The United States government is issuing currency with new designs and security features beginning with the $20 note in late 2003.

The redesigned currency is safer, smarter and more secure: Safer because it is harder to fake and easier to check; Smarter to stay ahead of tech-savvy counterfeiters; and More Secure to protect the integrity of U.S. currency.

The most noticeable difference in the new design is the subtle introduction of background color, which makes it more burdensome for potential counterfeiters because it adds complexity to the note.

The color will also make it easier to distinguish between denominations because different background colors will be used for each denomination. However, despite the addition of color, the new note preserves the distinct size, look and feel of the traditional American "greenback" - the world's most familiar and circulated currency.

The Federal Reserve System and the Department of the Treasury are committed to continuous improvements in currency design in order to protect the economy and your hard-earned money. To ensure this, we expect to introduce new currency designs every 7-10 years.

The issuance of the new $20 note will be followed by a new $50 note in 2004 and a new $100 note in 2005. Decisions on new designs for the $5 and $10 notes are still under consideration, but a redesign of the $2 and $1 notes is not planned.
